— Abraham Maslow
WANT TO TAKE YOUR COACHING PRACTICE TO THE NEXT LEVEL?
We are excited to announce a one of a kind coaching certification program that includes a supervised practicum where you’ll be paired with a nonprofit leader as a coaching client.
While the coaching industry has taken great strides over the years towards integrating more evidence-based coaching approaches, there is still a lot of work to be done. Many coach training programs still lack strong foundations in science, and do little to incorporate research-informed tools, methodologies, or approaches for helping clients thrive. I’m bursting at the seams with excitement to tell you all about our upcoming 6-month self-actualization coaching certification program, which is one of a kind within the coaching space.
Our full 6-month certification program— starting January 29— will give you the opportunity to take a deep dive into the principles behind self-actualization coaching, provide you with more tools and exercises to integrate into your current coaching practice, provide you with more peer to peer practice time, and give you more experience using the tools as a self-actualization coach. The program is targeted to experienced coaches who already have strong coaching skills and want tools and research-backed insights to take their clients to the next level of self-actualization— way beyond just “getting stuff done”.
You will get a lot of time with me and my world-class faculty of coaches throughout the program and the course will be ICF-accredited (we’re in the process of getting that accreditation). Also, very excitedly, we will have a practicum component built-in where you will be coaching a non-profit leader matched specifically to you and you will receive feedback and support from our faculty along the way. This built-in practicum is a great, one of a kind opportunity to work with a not-for-profit leader as part of the certification process and practice the new tools and knowledge you have learned.
This program will also allow you to call yourself a “certified self-actualization” coach, as certified by the Center for Human Potential. Upon completion of the program, we will add you to the Center for Human Potential’s roster of self-actualization coaches so that we can help you get more clients.
For 20 years Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, founder of the Center for Human Potential, and author of Transcend: The New Science of Self-Actualization, has dedicated his career to rigorously testing ways to unlock creativity, intelligence, and our potential as human beings. He has compiled some of his greatest insights to bring the New Science of Self-Actualization to the field of professional coaching.
Self-actualization coaching is an approach intended to enhance your coaching practice by offering you evidence-based tools and insights from Dr. Kaufman’s groundbreaking research that will equip you to more effectively help your clients unlock their unique potential.
Self-Actualization Coaching is a whole-person approach to coaching that aims to help the client find their most alive and creative center of being, connect deeply with themselves, and become who they truly want to become.
Grounded in the foundational principles of humanistic psychology, Self-Actualization Coaching also draws from the latest psychological science, including the fields of positive psychology, coaching psychology, developmental psychology, personality psychology, neuroscience, talent development, and the science of creativity.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity! Join us and take your coaching practice to the next level!
All we’re asking for right now is a $1000 deposit to secure your spot. Then once the course starts we will offer a generous payment plan over the 6 months to pay the remaining $3995.
“I became a scientist with the goal of being able to help people realize their potential. After nearly two decades I have come to believe that coaching is a powerful vehicle for this, and I think now is the time to apply the science of human potential to coaching to help people grow.”
— Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman
“Mind blowing experience.”

Why Would I Use Self-Actualization Coaching in My Practice?
Self-Actualization Coaching offers valuable tools and approaches that you can utilize to enhance your coaching practice and support your clients in reaching their highest potential.
Unique features of Self-Actualization Coaching include:
A holistic approach: Self-Actualization Coaching takes a holistic approach to coaching, emphasizing the integration of various aspects of an individual's life, including their personal growth, values, strengths, and well-being. By addressing the whole person, you can help your clients develop a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose in their lives, rather than focusing solely on specific goals or achievements.
A focus on authenticity: Self-Actualization Coaching places a strong emphasis on authenticity and self-discovery. It encourages clients to explore their true selves, identify their core values, and align their actions with their authentic desires. This in turn can help them experience greater joy, meaning, and satisfaction in their lives.
Embracing potential and growth: Self-Actualization Coaching recognizes and nurtures the inherent potential for growth and self-actualization within each individual. Coaches using this approach can help clients overcome limiting beliefs, step out of their comfort zones, and tap into their full potential.
Integration of science and research: Self-Actualization Coaching is rooted in scientific research and draws upon principles from a range of disciplines, including positive psychology, humanistic psychology, and cognitive science. By integrating evidence-based practices into our coaching sessions, you can provide your clients with well-founded strategies for personal growth and well-being.
Cultivating flourishing and well-being: Self-Actualization Coaching aims to support individuals in their overall well-being and flourishing. It emphasizes the importance of cultivating joy, developing healthy relationships, fostering a sense of meaning and purpose, and taking care of one's physical and mental health.
Emphasis on individuality: Self-Actualization Coaching recognizes that each individual has unique strengths, aspirations, and paths to self-actualization. Coaches using this approach tailor their coaching methods to the specific needs and preferences of their clients, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
“The Self-Actualization Coaching Intensive was one of the most beneficial programs I have been involved. The materials were first-rate and the team was extremely engaging.”
— Dr. Damian Cotchett
